The Irish Road Haulage Association is the national representative body of the licensed road haulage industry in Ireland. The IRHA provides support for its members in the form of cheaper tolls and issuing licenses. It also provides ways to connect its members as different companies and employees working in the same field.
The old website of the IRHA was outdated and didn't reflect the company's high standards of professionalism. The previous website was heavily coloured in green and grey, the colours of the company's logo. This produced an overwhelming, claustrophobic effect for visitors. The IRHA needed a complete overhaul of their previous website with new, clear calls to action. They wanted an eye-catching overview of the company's services with a slideshow on the homepage.
Over a series of in-depth consultancy meetings, our team gathered all the requirements from the IRHA. The design team then came up with mock-ups for a sleek and clean website. The inside pages provide all necessary information for truck drivers in Ireland.
The new design now uses splashes of the company's colours to highlight interactive areas and points of interest to the user. The items in the navigation bar have been changed completely to help visitors find what they need at first glance. The website now has the modern look and feel that reflects the company perfectly.
The homepage features a widescreen slider which gives a quick overview of all benefits the IRHA offers their members via informative graphics. We created an internal area for members and a login page. Search engine optimisation is essential for online success - we implemented SEO beneficial-tactics like meta information and used popular search phrases and alt tags for images. With more people browsing the web from mobiles and tablets, we made all pages mobile responsive. We consider these measures standard tactics and are included with every website we create.
The IRHA contacted Ireland Website Design as we were in need of development of a new website. I selected the company based on the impressive projects that they had already been involved with. Nick, the owner of Ireland Website Design, was very helpful during the discovery process which really helped us outline what we required in a new site. The end result has been great and really reflects the quality of work undertaken in the IRHA; very positive feedback has been received from our membership base since the site has gone ‘live’.
After the website was completed, we required training to ensure we were able to manage the site in-house on an on-going basis. Stephen the operations manager provided this training which was very easy to follow and of great benefit to us; Stephen was also a pleasure to deal with and very helpful.
In all we have had a great experience working with Ireland Website Design and look forward to working with them again in the future. I would not hesitate in recommending Ireland Website Design and the team to overhaul your website.”
