eCommerce Strategy

Our 8 Step Process To Making You More Sales

Not getting the online sales you expected? A website redesign is a great way to make your eCommerce
website more profitable – but only when it’s done right.

The eCommerce Blueprint

You can’t achieve your goals if you don’t know what they are, so stage one of working with us is creating your eCommerce Blueprint.

Working with our head digital strategist, you’ll explore and define your business objectives and goals. This includes conducting a competitive analysis and analysing your Google Analytics for important KPI (key performance indicators) metrics like:

  • Traffic sources
  • Popular brands and products
  • Determine your conversion rate, add to basket rate abandon cart rate, & exit rate
  • Understand your eCommerce past performance and campaigns
  • Analyse current paid advertising campaigns
  • Explore how customer acquisition currently works
  • Analyse your market (customers and competitors)
  • Review any integrations (like EPOS integrations that you have or need, email automations and customer loyalty systems)
  • Figure out what migrations are needed (customers, products & past orders
  • Decide on the right platform and technologies for your project
Step 1 The eCommerce Blueprint
Step 2 Project Kickstart & Content

Project Kickstart & Content

With a clear plan of action, it’s time to kickstart your project, starting with an introduction to the team you will be working with.

Depending on your needs, we’ll:

  • Schedule content and design workshops with your writers and designers
  • Set up your project in our project management system Teamwork, giving you and
your team access to instant project, tasks, and milestone updates
  • Walk you through our design process and software
  • Begin collating (or creating) the content and products needed for your project
  • Start looking at migrating you (if required) from your current provider

UX/UI Design

With all content, product info, and resources gathered, it’s time to start designing your website.

Through our extensive eCommerce Blueprint discovery sessions, our designers will know exactly what you like, what you don’t and what you need to achieve your goals.

Every eCommerce website we create goes through a detailed design survey and collaborative process – which enables each client to work with our project manager to create a unique style and design that matches their brand personality.

We’ll work on a brand stylescape (including logo and brand assets) for your project, giving you an early look at the visual direction we are taking. Stylescapes usually include colour scheme, fonts, icons, backgrounds, graphics, UI elements (buttons and popups and form elements).

Step 3 UX/UI Design
Step 4 Website Development

Website Development

Next, our team of web developers will build your website, bringing the designs we’ve created together to life.

With Teamwork (our project management software) in place, our operations manager can ensure everything is running on-time and on-budget. You’ll have access to real-time updates on your project’s progress – to keep you up-to-date and in-the-know.

We’ll migrate your products, previous orders, and customer accounts to your new website. We’ll also set up your integrations and work with your third party providers, like your EPOS company, to make sure your website is working to its full potential.

Usability Testing

Now your website is fully built, it’s time to test it! This involves our eagle-eyed developers and staff hunting down any possible issues from the build process. If any are found, they’re fixed so your website is customer-ready for your launch.

At this point, you’re also invited to do a last check of the site to make sure you’re happy with how it looks and works.

We can also offer a selection of users to test your website to provide valuable feedback on the average user’s experience.

Step 5 Usability Testing
Step 6 Website Management Training

Website Management Training

With all our websites we include staff training – the level of detail and complexity this goes into is entirely your choice.

Depending on how your business runs, you may need to update your website daily, weekly, monthly, or less often.

We break website training into two phases to help you get the most out of it.

The first session shows you the ropes of how your new site works, covering the basics to get you comfortable adding new products, updating text and graphics, and working in the admin area.

After your project is fully tested and gets your approval, it’s time to LAUNCH and your new website is live!

Our websites are carefully crafted to such a high standard, we even include a 30-day guarantee with free bug fixing.

Step 7 Launch
Step 8 Ongoing Marketing and Support
