Receiving state funding depends entirely on the quality of your application you present. Applications that propose the best business opportunities are obviously top of the list for state agency funding. For start-up business grants, the ability to create employment in your local area is highly regarded. For Enterprise Ireland grants, the potential to develop into export sales is essential.

LEO Online Trading Voucher

Local Enterprise Office logo

The Local Enterprise Office Online Trading voucher is available for businesses in any industry. Depending on your region, some offices specify two rules: you must be in business for at least the last year and you must be trading online.

Pro Tip: You can get around the online trading requirements by offering your customers the option to pay for your services online!

We recommend you to get in touch with us as soon as possible - some LEOs only accept applications every two months, others certain times of the year and others will only issue funding in batches/rounds. The Ireland Website Design team can help you through this process and cut down on any unnecessary paperwork.

When awarded the grant, you have the potential to receive up to €2,500 or as much as 50% off the total cost of your website (net of VAT) - whichever is the lesser.

If your business idea is to develop a product or service that will generate employment or export services/products (without displacing any current jobs in your area) you can apply for a grant with a larger monetary value. These grants take a lot more work to apply for and can be considerably slower to process. So for now, you may just want a website grant to get your website off the ground.

Social Welfare Web Design Grants

The Technical Assistance and Training (TAT) fund is designed to help people who are in receipt of the Short-Term Back to Work Enterprise Allowance . It helps with certain costs involved in starting a business. You do not have automatic entitlement to TAT - the assistance awarded from this fund must be approved by the jobs facilitator in your local social welfare office. Payments from the fund must be made directly to the provider of the service (or in other words the company that you decide to help you with your website needs). Your local jobs facilitator or enterprise officer can give you more information on sources of help and funding.
