Redlane offers a quirky mix of both boutique & high-street brands of women’s clothes to the South East of Ireland.
Established in 2005, Redlane is a boutique women’s fashion store in Tramore, Co. Waterford.
The owner, Catherine Keighery, worked closely with the Ireland Website Design Team to completely redesign the look, feel and functionality of redlane.ie
Redlane approached us when they saw that their competitors were making more traction online and they wanted to improve their online presence to increase sales. They were looking for a quality website that they knew would help reach a wider audience. As they already had a prominent position online, they had a few concerns about getting a new website: what if the website wouldn’t be as good as their old one? What if they lost their Google rankings? They were worried they wouldn’t know how to run the new EPOS system. Would they still receive online orders the same way? The owner was also concerned that creating this new and improved website would take up too much time out of her already-busy schedule.
Increase In Online Sales
Lower Cart Abandonment
Increase In Conversions
Before we started designing the new look for her website, we went about auditing the old Redlane site. We realised that far more people accessed her website through their mobile phones than desktops or laptops. By designing and building the new site mobile first, we could make it much easier for her customers to shop using their phones - resulting in more sales.
We created the website to be visually impressive to the viewer, making use of plenty of white space to showcase the beautiful clothes and accessories the team sell. We also made the back-end of the website user friendly for the owner and for her staff to keep updated, so she won’t be worried about them finding it difficult to use.
We added automated abandoned cart follow up emails, push notifications and personalised recommended products to encourage consumers to make a purchase and to help increase Redlane’s conversion rates. We also added a real-time Instagram feed under the main banner via Instastories. By clicking on a post, the customer can view the item and add it to their cart. The use of Instagram photos has helped increase sales on Redlane’s website substantially.
For this project, our team focused on conversion optimisation and after the 1st month of the new website being up we could already see serious improvements. There was a 40.5% increase in traffic on the site and a 10% increase in the amount of time people spend on the website. The conversion rates increased from 0.81% to 1.22% - which is a huge improvement.
