Vurb clears the battlefield to win TechCrunch Disrupt NY Battlefield 2014

Another year, another shot for 27 start-ups to take home the coveted TechCrunch Disrupt Cup. And this year, once again did not fail to disappoint. But, as always, there could only be one winner. And this year it was Vurb.
So what is Vurb you ask? Vurb is a search engine that gets you everything you need to know without ever having to move away from it. The company is rolling out searches of places, movies and media, with search support for people, start-ups and others on the way. To give you an idea of how it works: say you are looking for a movie. Type the name of the movie into verb and you will get the trailer, showtimes, reviews, a Netflix link to watch it, the IMDB score and anything else you can think of to do with the movie. Sounds pretty awesome doesn't it?
Of course, there were some harsh words from judge Fred Wilson, who said "This problem is a b**ch, you won't solve it and it will kill you" But they managed to convince the other judges.
